In Ecclesiastes, "Vanity" literally means 'vapor'.
The two things identified as evil are: The poor being oppressed by the wealthy, and the wealthy being oppressed by their own wealth.
There are two variables presented by Solomon: whether or not we have wealth, and whether or not we have power to enjoy it.
A good life is made, not by the endurance of good health, nor the acquisition of great wealth, but by the power granted by God to enjoy whatever portion of each that we are given.
Staying healthy and getting rich won't give you a good life. The only thing that can make life truly good, is the power given by God to accept and enjoy the life you're given.
