New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene Cuba Mission Trip 2026

Hi there! Before we get into the details, I just want to say that I am SO excited that you are interested in traveling with us to Cuba in 2026!  Encouragement trips are a fantastic way to learn about a new culture, see what faith looks like in a different cultural context, and help build the kingdom of God by blessing those who have so very little.  As you read through the following pages, I would encourage you to do so prayerfully.

Don’t worry about what’s practical and definitely don’t think about what you can afford.  If God calls you to go, he’ll provide the funding-end of story!  Often it isn’t just the trip itself that is a testimony and blessing to those who go, but the many ways God provides in the months before.

“Father I want to lift the person reading this before you today.  I pray that they would have ears to hear where you are leading them, and if you call them to be sent, that they would have peace about finance, travel, and their experience on the trip.  I pray that they are reminded that you will provide for all that they need.  Give them your eyes to see the needs of those whom you love and cherish, and give them a passion to serve as you have served us.  I pray as they pray about being sent to Cuba, that they would have intimacy with the Son who was sent to us.  Amen.”
-Pastor Eddie
The NMI Council is assembling a team of individuals, 16* years of age and older, to travel to Cuba in March of 2026.  The tentative dates are March 12 – 19.  We will likely be going to the Baracoa area which is on the eastern end of the island.  The location is subject to change and will be determined by the Cuban leadership.
This will be an encouragement tour which involves travelling to many different churches, meeting people, hearing their stories, praying, encouraging and blessing them with donated items and/or providing project fees for them to complete needed work on their churches.  The Cuban churches have very little money, but are definitely NOT poor in spirit.   Team members often times find themselves being as blessed as the people that we are there to bless.

*Travelers under 18 must have parental consent and be appointed a guardian while on the trip, if not travelling with a parent.  Teens under 16 may be able to travel if accompanied by a parent.
